Under Roswell

In 1947 Roswell became famous!

Several years ago I wrote a rather lengthy Sci-Fi called Under Roswell.  Inspired by the writers of Stargate Universe I thought I could do better.  Maybe not but, the story that they told intrigued me.

Imagine that you came across a derelict Intergalactic spacecraft.

Now imagine that as you entered it, things came to life.

The writers on Stargate truly were inspiring in many ways.  It was terrible that the show lost its agility in the market.  I was not ready to give up on Rush and those men and women running from the demonic robotic drones.  Ending as it did, I started to write some fan fiction as an experiment.

It has been years since I tried my hand at creative writing, so it was fun. Realizing that I was spending a lot of juice on their creation, I abandoned the project.  The seed of creativity was planted, however.

Turning off the TV; I started writing about Elliot.

  • Who was he?
  • What did he look like?
  • Where did he come from?

Four years and lots of research later I finished Under Roswell.

Elliot worked for a company known as Ohmicron.  Ohmicron is, of course, a made-up name with Ohm coming from the world of electronics and Cron coming from my favorite topic, time, with a little bit of Unix thrown in for good measures.

Ohmicron does all kinds of different things including military applications.

Providing Elliot with an assistant, everyone considered it a win-win.  Elliot’s boss wanted someone keeping tabs on what he was doing.  Elliot wanted to get away from the drudgery of paperwork and Susan wanted to attract the fair-haired boy of Ohmicron!

Susan learns that Elliot is an avid rock climber.  In her spare time, she takes classes on rock climbing.

Inviting herself along on his vacation to his old home in New Mexico for some “rock climbing,” things happen to change their lives forever!

After a small fall, Susan takes the time to re-group.  While talking at the base of the rocks, a few pebbles find their way through a small opening in the rock face.  A metallic clunk catches Elliot’s attention

Elliot makes a concerted effort to discover the source of the clunk only to find a spacecraft which has been dormant under the pile of rocks for some time.  Could it have been there since 1947?

  • If this was you what would you do?
  • If the craft responded to you, would you enter?
  • If you were Susan would you follow Elliot?

Explore the Galaxy with Elliot and Susan on this romp through the galaxy.  Fight off the bad guys and learn about new races of people and their struggles to survive.

The novel moves quickly and you will not want to put it down.    Follow the link….
