Feedback is a wonderful thing.
When I write my creative juices are often flowing in the wee hours. Unless my head is on the keyboard and a long line of xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx’s are crossing the screen, I am writing.
When the flow of the story falters or stops, so do I.
Having said that, some of my booboo’s show up and I don’t see them.
Someone pointed out that Marcie became Darcy in one paragraph.
Darcy is one of the main characters in my hole in time series and Marcie a supporting character in Diamond Joe.
Another pointed out that Diamond Joe was a grandfather and then a father… All good calls!
I usually do not try and edit when I am sleepy and those are words that all authors should probably live by.
Revision 2 is on Amazon and will be released as soon as they review it to make sure I haven’t done something nefarious.
Time is part of the story and often we don’t get it all perfect. The story flows thusly and we must give the reader some sense of how much time is actually going by. There are so many parts to making a good book, time, weather, the mood should all be there without even thinking about it.
Set the stage as it were.
That is why I am thinking about writing a screenplay.
Not only do you have to come up with the dialogue but every bloody detail must be there. Whether anything happens with it or not, is superfluous to the reason for the writing of it.
I think it would force me to be a better writer.
