We Hold these Truths to be self-evident …

I was amazed to read that Louis Lerner wanted her testimony sealed.  The head of the IRS that targeted conservative groups during the 2012 election process now wants her statements sealed as she is afraid for herself and her family if the public were to have access to them.

Let’s think about this one.  She used the most powerful agency in the United States, the IRS to swing the outcome of the 2012 Election to the Democrats, and she is only now worried about her actions?  The New York Times in a show of actual journalism should publish the entire transcript on the front page!

If Hillary had won would the public know about this blatant attack on democracy by our own government?

She is a criminal and has forfeited her rights to ask to have her crimes hidden. Why is she not behind bars? Her safety from upset citizens should be the least of her worries!  I bet Martha Stewart is pissed.  Her crimes were child’s play in comparison to that of this person.

CNN and MSNBC have been talking Russia for the last ten months, and now we have actual proof that the IRS targeted conservative groups to stop them from helping Romney and other conservative candidates in 2012. Yes, that is collusion with the then current Obama administration.

It makes no difference which side of the political divide you find yourself, you too should be aghast by this, and demand that people like Louis Lerner are exposed and prosecuted.  One of the things that make the US such a great place to live, is we have fair elections.  Don’t  we?  Are they truly fair?

Hillary said in an interview not long ago that if Fox News had been around when her husband was running, he would not have won.  Now let that sink in for a moment.  What she is inferring is that Fox news is not fair and balanced, that they are not journalists.

What she really is saying or admitting to, is that they would have investigated his every dealing, and just possibly talked more about his predatory sexual predilections, which have dominated the news these last few weeks.  Women do not like men who are in power to rape them.   I know of no woman who likes being raped in the first place!  Had Fox news been around then, she is right; he would have been exposed as the creep that he is, and Monika would not be a household name associated with a semen stain on her blue dress!

The larger question is, where were ABC, CBS and CNN and MSNBC?  Why were they not on top of this story?

Fox news like all news agencies has journalists who are biased, but if you look at their stories, they will call out the Republicans as well as the Democrats.  Do they play to their base, of course, but they do report more middle of the road, than does their competition.  This fact has been statistically proven, it is just not my opinion.

If it is truly about money and market share one would think that CNN would be more middle of the road instead of so far left leaning.  If Fox is doing so well, why not lean right?

Negative stories garner more attention so spinning the news in a negative format sells more air time.  CNN and MSNBC are two of the companies who have more negative coverage on our current president than anyone in that market. If you hate Trump and want to feel good, watch them.  If you would like the actual truth you might look elsewhere.  Russia Today is more unbiased than they are.

News like anything else is all about ratings.  Ratings attract advertisers. Commercials pay for the airtime that the talking heads use to pontificate on their particular take on the stories of the day.  CNN and MSNBC I don’t believe are as biased for political reasons that many think that they are.  What they are doing is playing to their base, keeping their ratings alive through spewing out reasons to hate Trump.  Emotions are easy tools to manipulate you with.  People love bad news about someone that they do not like.

“Gees TW that is a harsh claim!”

Really? If a football team that you don’t like has a key player that is injured, do you not get some feeling of joy from that as now your team which will be playing them next might have an advantage?  It is our secret but, think about it.  We love bad news when it is about someone we don’t like.

Not only do we eat up bad news but we will more readily spread the bad news on social media if it will play to our base.  That is a sad commentary on the human race, don’t you think?

If you have made it this far, good for you.

The only way to fix a problem is to admit that it exists and then identify it.  Once you can identify it, you can name it and figure out how to dismantle it. People who are what I call “asleep” don’t want to hear it.  They certainly don’t want to read it.

The truth of the matter is that if people are biased one way or the other, they do not want to hear opposing thoughts. It does not make a difference if it is the truth, they don’t want to listen to it.

Still don’t believe me???

How many times have you heard some parent say, “not my kid!”  Maybe you have said it yourself, “my kid would never do that!”

Some good friends of mine said that about their kid.  It is called denial… When they heard that he was seen doing drugs with some other children, they asked him about it. “Oh no mom, when I saw what they were doing I left them, I will never even see them again!  Drugs are stupid just like you always say mom.” They believed the lies because to quote Jack Nicholson; they could not handle the truth.

Two weeks later they went up to his room to get him up, as he was late for Church.  They found him dead in his bed.  Cause of death, he drowned in his own vomit due to overdosing on the very drugs that he denied he was taking.  True story, very sad. I grieved with them but, I knew the problem then as I do now.  We don’t want to hear the truth!

It is our nature not to want to hear that which we find repugnant unless it is about the other guy.  The scream from his mother was indicative of the looks on the faces from the Hillary supporters the night that she lost to Trump.  Ten months later we still have a divided country because many cannot handle the truth.

Some perfectly dishonest politicians are still trying to float impeachment proceedings to play to their base so they will get re-elected.  It is foolish showmanship but some hateful folks out there will buy it.

Hillary was a flawed candidate and never should have been the DNC pick!  They underestimated the appeal of a populist and were more worried about Bernie, than Trump.  The mere fact that she rigged the election to screw Bernie is more than the proof you should need.  The Billy Bass tape was their ace in the hole.  They were wrong.

Today we read that many of the FBI agents that were investigating Hillary’s emails were huge supporters of hers.  They hid the evidence against her, rather than do their jobs.

Government officials just like white cops cannot be prejudiced against the other political side, or different colors of humans.  The tapestry of America is weaved together with all different kinds of humans who appear and think a little differently.  It is called diversity.  From race to political affiliation they are all necessary and make up the whole of who we are as a people, Americans!

I don’t have to hold your beliefs to be kind and respectful of you as a human.  The converse is also true.

Why is that concept so hard to embrace?

We hear all this talk about racism and bias but, we do nothing about it other than perpetuating the atmosphere that begat it in the first place.

• Journalists are to report the events, not create them.
• The IRS is to enforce the tax laws as they are, not make them up for different groups.
• Judges are to enforce the laws and the constitution, applying them equally to all with a blind eye to race, sex or political affiliation. They are not to change the meaning of the constitution for some political agenda.
• Police are to protect and to serve without any racial partiality or bigotry.

You the people, the citizens, are who pay them, they work for you.

You cannot fix what you cannot or refuse to identify.  With many, it is a heart issue.  If you do not believe what I am telling you, and I get that many will want to write and tell me how full of it I am, do this first.

If you are a Fox news person, watch CNN and MSNBC.  I know that you will be angry and upset at watching the hate and contempt from the other side but listen for any truths.  Could there be some truth to what they are saying?

Mika Brzezinski was caught on camera talking about what they do.  She said and I quote, “We tell the American people what to think.”  That my friends is arrogance run amuck! No honey, you report the facts whatever they are period.  It is called journalism.  Anything else is called propaganda!

If you are in the camp of CNN and MSNBC and of course Bill Mahar and the other nightly comedians that pass off their acts as news, you watch Fox News and do the same exercise.  Could there be any truth in what any of the folks are saying?  Sit through the evening line up and make notes. Yes, watch Hannity as well.  He is entertaining at least.

When you are all sick of the biases that you will have no doubt spotted, go and find OAN news.  The news media that both sides of the spectrum hate.  They are doing whatever they can to get them removed from the cable lineup.  Why???  They merely report the facts, no spin.  Some of their talent is rather sophomoric but, the facts are just the facts.  You are smart enough to make up your own minds.

The press is indeed our eyes and ears on the goings on in our country.  We depend on them to report the facts.  We need the true facts so we can make informed decisions.  Folks we are not getting that.  Journalism is all but dead in this country, and we as a people need to demand better.  How?  Stop watching them, watch or listen to OAN.  Support agencies that provide the unbiased truth.

Back in the early days of civilization, there was one entity which all came from. Do you know what it was?  No, not god but close, it was the Catholic Church.  They were the spiritual leader of all the people.  They were the teachers of everything that they thought you needed to know.  They were also the government which would have you killed if you defied them.  I kid you not, this was one powerful bunch of people and the citizens were slaves to them.  They did tell them what to think, with death or prison being the option for anyone that dared not fall into lockstep agreement.  Did you know it was illegal in the day to own your own bible?  It is true, can you guess why?

They did not want you thinking for yourself much like it was illegal to educate slaves in early American history, the same was true back during the early church.  Today in N. Korea this is still true.  Not the church but the government is the ultimate supreme authority with brainwashing as their main industry.

How do we fix this country???

We start by hearing and accepting the truth no matter how ugly it is. You cannot fix what you don’t acknowledge.  It is like going to the doctor with pain, and he tells you that you have cancer.  Do you say ok, I have cancer what can we do about it?  Or, do you say, that is not possible and leave his office not dealing with the diagnosis?  Many in this country are leaving cancer untreated, which will be the death of this country as we know it.  Many who have pain will not go to the doctor for fear that it is cancer.  They just don’t want to know the truth.

Learn to look for and embrace the truth no matter what it is.  If some facts are unbelievable, check many sources before you re-post on social media a lie, perpetrated by some other country or a hate-filled moron.  Snopes is not a reliable source of information BTW.

These ANTIFA criminals are one more symptom of this cancer.  They believe that what they are doing is anti-fascism, but in reality, they are the fascist and also criminals. They have bought the lies from hate-filled professors who are spewing it and are acting on it. All they have to do is trigger them emotionally, and they will respond.  Their actions will seem just, so that they will commit to them and act on them.  They will destroy their own campus and prevent the very free speech that they say that they are fighting for.  They are in fact misguided youth under the control of evil people.

The men who flew the planes into the twin towers killing thousands felt that their actions were just, and were determined to their cause.  They too believed in their mission.  There is no difference. If you think that there is, you are mistaken.

Civilized debate on the topics are necessary, and that cannot start until you are ready to listen!  You must be willing to hear that you have cancer.  Until then, the violence and unrest will continue, and the barbarians both in DC and in positions of power elsewhere will continue to prevail.  The useful idiots of the power brokers will fight their battles, helping cancer to win.  The power brokers must be identified and held accountable. Mrs. Lerner is one and needs to be behind bars.  An example needs to make out of her and her ilk.

Her testimony needs to be on the front page of some paper, that has a smidgeon of integrity left.

Hello fellow travelers!

 

How are you doing?  Have you had a good week?  Or are you like me, troubled by the events in New York and other places?  I think my faith in our government is a little shaken.  How about you?

I mention traveler because that is what we are all doing, we are traveling.  Yes, we go day to day at our jobs or our lives, but we are still traveling.

A lot of people don’t get it.  You see they think life is about the destination.  Even a lot of the Christians think about the destination of heaven or hell.

Life is not about the destination.

Life is a series of adventures.  When one ends, another begins.  They may be short adventures or long extended adventures, but they are adventures.

So what is life about?

Life is about the journey.

Life is about how you manage your day to day lives making the best out of what you have.

Some foolishly believe that the very rich have it made.  Indeed their goal is to be the very rich!

Money is a tool.  Much like a hammer or a saw, it is a tool.  Some of us are very good at keeping up with our tools and managing them well.  Some are not.  I just want enough as not to have to worry about continually doing something to obtain it.

The more money that you have, the more people will find a way to get it from you.  If you were to win the lottery let’s say, do you have any idea how many “friends” you would suddenly have?

Every charity of the world would play to your emotions trying to extract some part of your windfall.

Your family would also be at your door.

No, I do not play the lottery.  Firstly, I understand math and statistics.

The lottery is a “stupid tax.” Let me say that another way, the lottery is designed to take money away from people who don’t understand math or statistics.

Casinos are also for the folks who don’t understand math.

All games of chance are geared for the house to win. All of those one-armed bandits are wired together to a network of computers.  Some programmer writes the algorithms that tell the many machines out there what they can pay out on any given time.

They must have some payouts, or people would not go.  They don’t pay for those fancy casinos with their own money…  In short, its rigged.

You’re best chances or odds if you will are on games that are not electronic.  Poker, Keno, Roulette to name a few.  The odds are still against you but, not as bad as the one-armed bandits.

I talk about the game of chance and poker and our government because of the revelations of this week.  Bernie was cheated.   To be absolutely fair, Bernie was wheeling and dealing toward to end of the primary.  He was lobbying the DNC for his own jet, and a house on the beach so he would not contest the results and withdraw and of course support Hillary.

With rigged elections, one has to wonder just how sacrosanct our elections truly are.

There are governments in the world today who rig elections to stay in power, are we doing that?

The Clinton machine cheated millions of Americans who voted for Bernie.  The mainstream media is downplaying it or not giving it any airtime.  Liberal talking heads are spinning this behavior as usual!

Donna Brazil who is the whistleblower is the same person who before the debate gave Hillary the questions that she would be asked during the debate.  Who are these people that we elected?

Why is she telling all now?  She wrote a book and is marketing it.  She was part of the machine and is now trying to get rich.

I try not to focus on this too much as there is little that I can do about it.  I think that the media should be reporting the news and not be making up the news.  I believe that Yellow Journalism is alive and well in this country.

• If you supported Bernie Sanders your vote was stolen.
• If you supported Martin O’Malley your vote was stolen.
• This is banana republic kind of stuff, and it happened here!
• Do you have feelings or thoughts about this?

How do we stop it from happening again?  That is the real question.  Was there an oversight process and if so, how did it fail?

I should be working on my novel, and I am writing a blog.  Have you ever tried to get your head back into your story and away from life?

Currently, my story is traveling at faster than light speed away from the earth!  Some crazy computer has just abducted my characters!

Heading east until the road runs out, he finds Dr. J Stein. Dr. Stein, the towns cardiologist has just lost a patient and is at the local pub when the two meet.  The vulnerable couple soon becomes an item.  After a marriage in Vegas, Ben discovers that Juliet has a darker side and she is insistent that he is part of it.

To what lengths will Ben go to please the new love of his life?  This too is an adult read as TW pushes the boundaries in this fun-filled adventure complete with warmth and charm.

Dragon Master and the Witch is such a fun book.  The Queen’s daughter is kidnapped by an evil sorcerer taken through time, left as bait for her betrothed to find.  Her husband to be is a Dragon Master.  The only way for the sorcerer to control his dragons is to kill him.

The Queens daughter begins to assemble a coven in modern times while keeping her magic and identity under wraps from the people of Salem Massachusetts, where the sorcerer left her.

The story is complete with love and laughter and action.  Breaking TW’s normal style, this is YA.

The Madam and the Queen is the first in a series of books known as the Ailani Series.

Tina, a divorced woman in her mid-thirties has become somewhat of a shrew.  Her friends at work convince her to get out of her house and live a little.

Bud Grayson inherited his parent’s company after they were mysteriously killed while on Safari.  The young billionaire finds that he is haunted by strange dreams while he runs the company turning into somewhat of a bully.

Tina and Bud meet as fate plays into the story making this an incredibly fun read.  Tina discovers her sexuality with not only Bud but with his housekeeper.

The saga of the Starduster has been such a fun book to write and read again and again.

The one public review the book has on Amazon was from someone who said there was no sex in the book.  Hmmm, she has a machine that turns them into nymphomaniacs!  They end up on a world that turns them all into sex fiends.

I would never flame another author.  If I found serious flaws I would contact them and try to assist them. We authors are not in competition, and I will assist other authors, and have.

Please read the book and decide for yourself.

The women awoke to find themselves nude in the presence of Sarah and her assistants. “Calm yourselves, Patty and Martha, here are some clothes for you to put on.”

“Where is Donny?” Martha asked.

“He is in the next room dressing as well. Clothes are not something we are used to here, so I am afraid that you three might feel out of place.”

“I don’t want Donny seeing his mother this way!” Martha said.

“Donny is Don Martha; he is a grown man. I stopped his aging process at 30. When you look at yourself Martha, you will see that you too are about 30. Patty, I left you at 21. You can choose to age naturally, or I can arrest the process right here.”

“Sarah, I feel different,” Patty said.

“Each of you had some neural pathways created between the two hemispheres of your brains. Your learning ability will be accelerated as well as your IQ.”

“Was there purpose in this?” Martha asked.

“Your race blew themselves up, Martha. We sent Don back to change history. By removing you three, we altered the timeline somehow. ”

“I thought that we were going right back to the second we left?” Patty said.

“The outcome would not work out. Don, instead of contributing to humanity would give them the information that they need to make their atomic weapons stronger than what they were. We saw that Dr. Flint was working with your government and was also working for another superpower as a spy.”

“Does Donald know this?” Patty asked.

“No, not yet. Are you two ready to meet Don, the man?”

The anxiety level of both women shot up, and Sarah could sense it.

“You both might want to sit,” Sarah said. Both sat on the table as Don made an entrance. The 6’2 inch man with wavy hair, chiseled chin, and sharp blue eyes looked at the two women as he could feel their love for him. Embracing the two, Martha started to cry, and Patty was speechless.

The following is an excerpt from Diamond Joe.

 

Donna is a professor at the college.  After losing her husband, she had shut down emotionally. Fate played a hand as she happened to own a racehorse and was not getting it trained.  When one of her student’s friends, happened to be a trainer comes to assist her, things change.

 

I won’t spoil the book for your but below are a few paragraphs out of the chapter “Society.”

Donna and Sam fell in love and she married her.  She did it in a very public way which caused all sorts of issues for some stuffed shirts.  Below is from the book…

 

Some of the staff got together over dinner one night, and Blake was in attendance as well. Donna was enjoying the camaraderie while visiting with her peers.  Blake was tying one on.

Coming up to Donna the booze had its effects on him.  “Can I ask you something?”

“Sure Blake, what is on your mind?”

“You caused me a lot of grief a few months ago.”  He lamented.  Donna saw that he was feeling his drinks. “I am sorry about that Blake, what is your question?”

“No, it is ok, Sally straightened me up.  She even told me to pull my head out of my ass!”

Donna laughed at that as she thought Blake often suffered from Rectal-Cranial Inversion or RCI.

“So you were not upset by my wedding to Sam?”

“I was at first; I had people wanting to pull their support from the school and all kinds of foul calls, it was awful.  Sally pointed out that I was acting like a caveman and I needed to get with the times.”

“Blake, I had no idea that I would love another woman, but I do, what is your question.”

“Why the paper, why the public wedding.  Why not just do your thing in quiet and live your life.  You live so far out there that nobody would ever have known!”

The rest of the staff was listening ready to bite his head off.  Donna looked at them giving them the backoff look which they all knew well.

“Blake, I am going to tell you this, which I hope you will remember because I will not repeat this to you again.  I originally wanted to do just that. I told Dane and Marcie that nobody must know about this.”

“So what happened?  Why?”

“Blake, that broke my fucking heart!  When I realized that I had just marginalized the love of my life to some god damned secret, it killed me! I will not apologize for loving another human being, not to you, the board of directors or the fucking president of the college! Anyone who thinks our marriage is any less than theirs is full of shit and fuck them! I have no tolerance for bigots.  When you realize that we are all human, barring a few minor differences in plumbing, we are basically the same; it makes a whole new argument out of it.  The inconvenience I caused you and some at the school is trivial in comparison to how badly I hurt that person who is so special to me! I hurt her by wanting to protect the fucking school over her.  Family comes first Blake!”

“I am sorry Donna, I had no idea.”

“I had to bribe the damned preacher to meet us at the hotel and marry us!  He would not do it at his church, and I had to agree to keep his name private.  Do you know how that feels?”

“Why not just go to the courthouse and do what the others….”

“Do you see what you just did?  “

“I see the problem; you feel cheated.”

“Blake I had the white dress, the flowers the parties and all that stuff with Steve.  Samantha got none of that!  She got screwed by the system, by bigots and ignorant assholes. The whole time that preacher was doing his thing I hated him in my heart!  He took money to do that which is against his fucking idea of morality.  Did you know that morality has a price?”

The people at the table were shocked.  They had no idea what it took to get married like most people. “I wish there were something I could do to make any of that right,” Blake said.

 

Yes, people, the book is that good and even better.  Most of my novels are that good if I do say so myself.  But…Since Saga of the Starduster is my number one seller maybe people like science fiction better than stories that are germane for today.

Red Tie or Blue Tie?

 

The names and people in the following dialogue are creations of my overactive imagination.

“Kelly, call Dan and have him set up a poll for the state of Kentucky.”

“A poll sir?”

“Yes, I want to know if they would prefer me to wear a Red Tie or a Blue tie when I address them this weekend.”

“You just want to know about the color of your tie?”

“Maybe the shirt color, should there be a pattern or solid color?”

“Yes sir, we will need to offer some samples for the pollsters to ask, what about the color of your suite or the kind?”

“We certainly have to wear one created in the USA it cannot be any foreign made suite.”

“Yes, sir I will take some pictures of your suites and let Dan work with it anything else?”

“My wife said that my goatee was too long.  Let’s find out if they would prefer cleanly shaven or maybe that five O: clock look; you know as the Hollywood elite wear?”

“Sir the Hollywood elite are not running for office in a few months; I think tried, and true clean shaven is your best bet.”

“Kelly, the taxpayers pay people like Dan to find out what the American’s like.  Have you noticed that more and more are wearing tattoos and piercings, maybe I should get one and see if they like it?”

“Sir, don’t you think they are interested in how you are going to give them some tax relief or how you are going to fight to keep their jobs in the US?”

“Everyone says that Kelly, I think they know by now we are just telling them what they want to hear.  We need to sell me as a cool guy, you know someone they would want to have a beer with.”

“Sir, your beer that you drink they could not pronounce the name of, I still think telling them things that they want to hear work.”

“Kelly, my opponent is already doing that. How many different ways can we lie to them before they figure out that nothing is going to change?  No, I think selling me as one of them is the answer.  Did you see Bob the other day trying to relate to them?  He actually tried to tell them the truth, poor bastard!”

“Some people want to hear the truth, sir.”

“Most of them cannot handle the truth, that is why experienced politicians know better and take polls, so we know what to tell them.”

“I thought politics was genuinely about representing the people sir, how silly was I?”

“After a few years here you learn quickly enough that they just need to be led like sheep.  Keep them distracted like the Romans used to do, and they will never see that we are all the same.”

“So, a poll to see what color tie and which suite, is that it?”

“Have him add boxers or briefs; I want to know what most American’s can relate to!”

“They are not going to know what your underwear is sir?”

“Look, if the camera angle is right, you can tell from the lines if it is boxers or briefs.  If they can see I want to make sure that my underwear is not a negative thing.”

“Underwear, what about socks or shoes?”

“Good thinking, shoes for sure, people are into shoes!  Should they be loafers or steel-toed?”

“It is Kentucky sir, should we add boots into the poll?”

“Yes, that is fair, we need to be careful about the kind of boot though.  Some people get all bent out of shape if it is Alligator or Ostrich.”

“Yes those PETA folks would cast their vote for the devil, rather than vote for someone who would make apparel out of animal hide,” Kelly said.

“Speaking of which did you manage to get my Safari hunting trip pictures scrubbed from that social media site?”

“It cost the taxpayers tens of thousands of dollars, but yes they are gone.  We have hired a PR firm to watch for them and have them removed if anyone else reposts them.”

“I should have been more careful.  That elephant went down with one shot, and it was exhilarating.  I wanted to share with everyone, and I had been drinking some of the beer that they have over there.”

“The PR firm is putting a spin on it that you saved a village from a stampede of crazy animals if the picture pops up again.”

“Is that what the poll said they would find acceptable?”

“Yes, a significant percentage of the American public said that saving an orphanage from a stampede of wild elephants would be seen as more positive than negative.”

“Damn, maybe we should have left it there!”

“Sir, Most people are not that stupid to believe the story, so it is better to mask it and spin it in a way that yes, you did kill one to save an orphanage. You felt terrible for the poor beast.  After it died, you had the school utilize the meat so they would not starve.  Then we just let the story die like the elephant did, slowly and painfully.”

“I can’t help it if that beast had a thick skull. Do they really eat an elephant?”

“Hell if I know, I guess if you are starving you will. Anyway, hunting stories are more likely to be seen as negative sir, that is why most politicians don’t allow their personal lives to be showcased on social media.  That is also why the taxpayers pay for PR firms to constantly keep your appearance as generic as possible when it comes to your social life.”

“Putin rides around half-naked on a horse hunting bears!  Why can’t I do that?”

“Russia is not the United States; here we still do not completely control the press.”

“Speaking of which where are we with stopping that independent news media outlet from getting on the cable TV?”

“Don at the FCC is making it difficult for them, and the IRS is badgering the crap out of them to slow them down but again as long as we don’t completely control the press, you will still have to keep some modicum of discretion in your actions.”

“Is that why you will not be seen with me in public?”

“You know that your campaign cannot afford the luxury of having me as arm candy.”

“My wife knows that you are I are messing around, why should the public care?”

“The American public is still pretty much hung up on one man one woman thing.  Just because you and your wife have different partners at times and you both are ok with it, does not mean the public would be ok with it.”

“That whole bible thing, we should get that outlawed.”

“Nonsense, the Bible makes the sheeple predictable. Politicians like predictable people.  That is why the polls are so useful.  Most of Americans like their god and their guns.  If you want to win elections, you don’t attack their beliefs no matter how arcane we think they are.”

“That is why it is them and us, all through history there has been the Gods and the insects.”

“I don’t think I would use that in your campaign speech, remember you want to be one of them.”

“No, I want to appear to be like one of them, there is no way in hell I would ever really have a beer with them, they are stupid swine.”

“Never the less, their taxes allow us to live as we do.”

“If they only knew.”

“They hopefully never will because we keep them distracted with stupid shit that they fall for.”

“When the pollsters told us that half the country would see abortion as women’s health, I was amazed!”

“It was predictable; we did not need to spend thousands of dollars on pollsters to figure that one out.  Half the country believes in that bible we were talking about.  The other half believes in whatever we tell them to believe in.  Get them emotionally involved in the subject, whatever it is.  Then between our friends on the silver screen assisting us to spread the truth, as want them to see it, and the useful idiots, who allow their temper to get the best of them, we can keep the country stirred up.”

“Speaking of that, the rally in Kentucky, for or against abortion?”

“Still waiting on the polls, we had to run another sample because it was too close.  We took out the late-term part and reran the poll.”

“Grizzly stuff, Did you know that there are places in the world where children are taken and used for donors of organs?”

“Not surprised, if there is a market someone will fill it, did you say children, not fetuses?”

“Yes, these are anywhere from babies up to twelve years of age.  Sold like cattle and their organs are harvested for the highest bidder.”

“So, late-term abortions.”

“Really late-term abortions. When I saw the pictures, it kind of made me ill.”

“Harold, whatever for, that is not in your backyard, that is in another country.  They have to deal with that, not you. Besides, there may be a day that you or I or someone here in Congress might need a part that you could only get in another country.”

“We have to keep pounding away on the religious nutjobs.  They must not be able to get into a place where they can affect legislation.”

“These supreme court picks could be a major deal; we need to keep our side alive until we can get more of ours in there.”

“I like that one that finally admitted that the constitution was outdated and irrelevant.”

“He is so senile he thinks wine could really be made from water and fo fo dust.  We keep him away from the press until he retires.”

“I think that one news agency is onto him.  They show pictures of him asleep all the time.  I am always afraid that he died on camera.”

“As long as he dies off camera we can find a double for him until he retires.”

“Our friends in Hollywood found me that double when I had to be in the hospital during the last election cycle.”

“The Public was none the wiser, we kept the press core away from him and used can speeches and it worked out fine.  The folks in Hollywood are with us Harold, they regularly attack the constitution trying to convince the sheeple that we don’t need things like the second amendment.”

“Do you know how much cheaper my security detail would be if I did not have to pay to have so much screening of people.”

“You told me that you hated that bulletproof vest, just think if we could get the guns off the street, you could do away with it.”

“That would be a dream come true, the only people that need guns are those that protect us anyway.”

“Them and the military, we still need to keep them armed for now.”

“I envision a day when there will be one leader for the world, and everything will be great!”

“Harold, what about the other people who were not the leader?”

“They would love him or her so much, they would not mind serving them.”

“Is that why you want to be the cool candidate?”

“It is such a rush when you stand in front of the crowd, and they chant your name, yes I could see me as the world leader.”

“Would I still be your mistress, or would you dump your wife at that point.”

“My wife is the daughter of a powerful executive; I would leave her for you if I were the leader of the free world, yes!”

“If you were the leader of the world then her father would be your servant!”

“Yes, the old fart would have to listen to me for a change!”

“I need to get this poll stuff to Dan, is there anything else?”

“Glasses or contacts?”

“I think you are handsome either way, do you think that it really makes a difference?”

“I don’t know, that is why we pay these pollsters, what they tell us is critical!”

“Glasses might depict a weakness, I would stick with the contacts, but I will ask Dan to put it into the poll.”

“You see that is just the thing.  The secretary of state does not need glasses, but she wears them with no prescription in them because her pollster said that they make her look smart!”

“Thank god for that, she is dumb as a stump.  If her father were not who he is, she would be one of the insects.”

“It is amazing, you really can put lipstick on a pig.  In this case, black-rimmed glasses with clear glass in them.  Another trick from Hollywood I guess.”

“I feel that way too, but the public will never know because she has a team of people telling her what to say, and she even has the little bug in her ear.”

“Who is sponsoring her anyway?”

“Someone on Avenue K put the deal together, I would watch whatever she does, and we can figure out who the donor or puppet master really is.  I am trying to get our guys to tune in on her earpiece and see if we can see who is controlling her.”

“Mine is encrypted isn’t it?”

“Yes, but those things are great, are you going to use it during the debate again?”

“Of course, their person will be using one. This way we each have an entire team of people making us look smart.”

“You need to contribute to Bill’s campaign if you want an advance copy of the questions again.”

“I already have our people on it.  Even with the bug, I still like to have the best answers available.”

“We need it pretty soon so the pollsters can run them by the people.”

“If the sheep only knew.”

I was struck by how we are governed by those who take a poll on everything.  Applying some literary license and creativity to a satire of the American political system, I came up with the above.

The part about the organ farm I wish was satire but it is not.  There are parts of the world where this stuff is happening much like sex trafficking.  It will never make our news as it does not serve a purpose in this country.  Blurring the lines between a fetus and a person seems to be the political norm, and this fact would work against that agenda.
