Wherever you find love you should hang on to it!

Perpetual Palpitation

As I stated in an earlier blog, I have tried my hand at a few stories with adult content.

The reasons are many but suffice it to say, I enjoy books with a story, a plot and hopefully an unpredictable trope or two.

I recently noticed an uptick in sales of Perpetual Palpitation.

If you have read this book, Thanks so much!

Perpetual Palpitation or forever and heartbeats   One could and should interpret this to Love Always.

After a brutal divorce, instigated by his wife of many years, Ben decided he must change his course in life.  Spending his early years starting and building a mega-business, he had no time for himself and certainly no time for his young family.  Not even aware that his daughter was not really his, Ben buries himself in his work until one day he is served with divorce papers.

Selling the company per the divorce decree, Ben takes his half of their fortune, packs his car with some clothes and his laptop; and leaves California in his rearview mirror.  With no destination in mind, he only heads east.

Several days later Ben ends up on Amelia Island; he simply ran out of road away from his past.

Finding a beach house to rent, he pulls out his laptop and seeks to do that which he has always dreamt of, writing a book much like the Sherlock Holmes novels he loved as a young person.

Ideas whirl around in his head as he decides to take in some of the local culture.

Dr. Stein, a world famous heart surgeon, is also part of the culture that Ben runs into in a pub.  She is there because she lost one of her patients to greed and unjust laws.  Fate plays a role as the two become inseparable over time.

Dr. Stein has a dark secret which pushes Ben to the limits of his prudish ways.  Adjusting to who they are together, Ben and Juliet weave the tapestry of modern-day life into a story that will live for the ages.

This novel is an adult novel, but there is much more story than naughtiness.  Taking many out of their comfort zone and adding all sorts of twist and turns into the story, you might not be able to predict where it will end up.

The characters will tell you the story in their words.  My keen wit and sense of humor will hopefully entertain you.

Check out Perpetual Palpitation and let me know what you think.

The cover art is a combination of an oil painting that I did years ago, and some digital magic.

Is Pornography a bad thing?

When you cannot tell the difference between fantasy and reality, you are in trouble.

I have become confused over the years as many things are now lumped together or synonymous with the word “porn.”

  • Food Porn
  • Library Porn
  • And of course erotic porn.

If we can agree that pornography can be interpreted as an extreme of something, then we can continue on to the main topic.

In the sense that too much of anything is bad, we can quickly come to a consensus that porn in the sense of “too much,” is probably not good.

What I want to address however are the different kinds of erotic pornography.

Why do people look at or partake in porn in the first place?

Fantasy vs. reality.

In our daily lives, we live in our world of work, school or home life.  During our waking hours, we do what we must do to stay on task or to be on purpose for who or what we are.  Life can get pretty mundane.  Several days a week we get up and do our thing.  When we come home, we have another “thing” to do which is usually boring or at least mundane.  Many of us might read for an escape, or most will sit in front of the TV and live their lives vicariously through football or dancing with the stars or some reality tv show, where we become the star of the show.

How many lazy boy quarterbacks have you seen, or perhaps you are one.  We scream at the TV when a bad call is made, and we just don’t care that they cannot hear us.  Monday morning we visit with our cohorts and talk smack about the lousy calls and then reluctantly engage in our task of shuffling papers, or writing code or whatever it is that you do.  That is a reality.

Before the Internet, Pornography was relatively mild, somewhat limited to truck stops, bookstores or adult bookstores, and of course, the ever popular Playboy which I would argue was really not porn.  Hustler was porn and the first to show parts of the female anatomy that one could claim had nothing to do with artistic value.

Along came an easy way to exploit people through the internet.

“Yes women are objectified but let’s face it, unless they are forced to do it by some sex trafficker, they do it to themselves.”  The porn industry is huge.  Like drugs, there is a demand for it.  If there is a demand; no matter how illegal it becomes, there will be a source.

I wrote about marketing earlier, and sex sells. Why?  Why does sex sell?

If you go to the beach no matter your gender, look at the people who are attractive in your opinion.  Now try and take care to notice where your eyes go.  If you are a man most probably your eyes will immediately go to the parts of her body that are covered by cloth, and your brain will fill in the blanks.

If you are a woman and you see some man that interests you; if you are honest with yourself, after looking at his face or smile and abs, your eyes will check out the bulge in shorts, or his behind.

I write a lot about nudists in my books because people fascinate me.  If you are wearing a bikini, you will notice the looks from men and might have an urge to say “hey, my eyes are up here.”

The simple facts are that he or you are following your program.

When a person sees someone that is sexually stimulating to them the reward center of the brain releases chemicals that start the process of procreation.

The whole process could take hours or months to complete but make no mistake, it is a chemically induced process.  When sex is involved, again, chemicals control the process from flirtation to pillow talk.  Orgasm releases feel-good chemistry in the brain as well as chemicals that shut off the desire for more sex in the man until he recharges.  Hence the stupor and sleep following sex.

Those chemicals or the reward of their release is what pushes us for some private time with the internet and some appliance, or at least a little digital exercise of the non-electronic kind if we are single.  I would argue that it is probably healthy and if not taken to an extreme, not a bad thing.

Realizing that we are designed for procreation now let’s go back to the pornography question.

Anyone on the internet of any age can get all the porn that they want.

Let that sink in for a moment.  Your five year old can stumble across it.

Young folks see this type of stuff and have no idea how to process it.  Once in puberty, they have the desire; it is built in.  Now they have many of the questions answered as they can watch all of it that they want.

Desire and mystery removed, now they just need a willing partner.  Will babies be made or diseases spread, probably!

Pornography is not real life.  Not many pizza men will ring you up looking to trade sex for pizza.  If they do it could be a whole new franchise opportunity.

Young folks have no idea about such things and get screwed up ideas about sex and how it works because of what they might see.

Sex for most of us comes with commitment and emotional investment.  Without it, you might as well date a corpse.

Morality is under attack by what we see in the world today, and few voices are saying, hold on there cowboy, that is not the way that it works.  With the family unit in disarray, too many teen parents are being made, and abortion is probably not the answer.

What about you and I, we are adults, is porn a good thing or a bad thing?

If you find yourself dating your Hitachi more than a real person, it is probably a bad thing.

The problem with porn is that it leads people to fantasize about certain things which are just crazy if you think about it.  In Denise and Trisha’s adventure, I write about rich people who pay these girls to perform acts on one another in front of a webcam to fulfill their fantasy’s.  They are Dom’s in every sense of the word, but since it is over the internet and the location and identity of each of them are hidden, they can live out their fantasy remotely.

I discovered the underbelly of the internet from one of my Twitter followers who is on a site called My Free Cams.  Checking out that site, the story wrote itself.  Over a thousand “models” at any given time are working their audience for tips.  They are providing a type of prostitution where no contact is made other than through the mouse or keyboard.

Since the writing of that book, I have learned of several other services that provide the same thing.  This means that there are thousands of young ladies out there making money from their bedroom’s entertaining people for tips.

“I am not judging them.”

If they are consenting adults and make an informed decision to do this, it is their choice.  These girls are also from many different countries.  I would love to crawl around in their heads to see what if anything they get out of it.  Is it titillating in some way?

My issue with this site and some like it is that anyone can log in and see whatever they are doing.  While they tell you if you are under 18 to go away, they are not exactly asking for id.  Are there girls on this or other sites who are being forced to do this?  Possibly. Could the models be under 18?  Good question…

Is porn a bad thing?

Porn is a thing, as my novels are a thing.  If you read Denise and Trisha’s adventure, I paint pictures in your head that could be pornography.  I am assured that my novel is not smutty but in a 50 Shades kind of way, it is certainly titillating.

I got a kick out of a couple that I know.  She was fussing at her husband for looking at too much Cinemax or internet porn while she read smutty books.  Holier than thou much?  It is the same damned thing!

I would argue that books like mine or 50 shades are better as your imagination will probably paint a better picture than some person who day in and day out has sex for a living.  That is why I have always felt the book version was better than the movie.

When you cannot tell the difference between fantasy and reality, you are in trouble.  These teachers who are sleeping with students have crossed the line, and one has to wonder what did they put into their heads?

Mental health will be the next big need in this country and probably others as we change the dynamics of who we are.

When I was speaking of nudist earlier, if you have ever tried it, the awkwardness is gone in seconds, and soon the genitalia or what have you is like a knee or elbow.  Most people look better with clothes on, and I think that is why fewer women are nudist.  Women more than men seem to care about what they look like and you get into this whole body shaming argument.  We come in all shapes and sizes, and there is a huge difference between pornography and nudity.  As an artist, I love the human form in all of its shapes and sizes.

I have this vivid memory of a man on a beach wearing a speedo.  Speedos’ in the states are out of style and have been.  The man himself had a scar from his neck, down around his belly button into his speedo and down one leg.  He must have weighed easily 350 pounds.  I smiled when I saw him and thought, “good for you!”

He survived some rather traumatic surgery or had one hell of a birthmark, and he felt sexy in that speedo.  Who am I to judge him for how he is dressed.  That speedo helped him to feel better about himself, and he might very easily be a super nice guy!

I must say that there is a time and a place for all things under heaven.  If that sounds blasphemous, I will caution you to judge not.  He knew you before you were formed and knew everything that you would ever do and created you anyway.  That is my story, and I am sticking to it.

Currently, I am working on a book about witches, warlocks, dragons, and pirates!  Twelve thousand words into it and I am loving it.  Taking a break to write about this subject was important.  One of my readers asked what I thought about pornography.  Now you know!

Marketing, answer to e-mail..Why?

Sell the Sizzle and not the Steak!

With the Website getting much more traffic at www.AuthorTWScott.com.  I sometimes get some interesting comments.  One person asked me why in the world I have Vadazzle.com  as a link.

I laugh when I think about it but, it is an entertaining story.

First and foremost I worked for an advertising agency for years.  I most probably got the idea from watching too much Bewitched, always feeling sorry for Derwood.  Yes, Darren.

Bewitched
Bewitched I loved them dearly! The writers were fantastic!

Darren if you did not know worked for an ad agency.  “What does one do there?” I thought as a young person.

Because of this, I used to watch commercials, listen to them and studied them in magazines.  Why is this one working?  I studied this rather intently. It really boils down to playing to people’s baser desires, and sex is a biggie!

Sex sells period.  While I was always under the impression of selling the sizzle and not the steak, Grace Powers does this nicely.  My hat is off to her.  YouTube and other social media have her pulling the hair out of her most intimate of places, with millions of views.

She teaches others who desire to rip their hair out, exactly how to do it; and what products they need.  She, of course, sells her products to you through Amazon, and I am confident from her direct.

Grace does not sell the pain that one will no doubt experience with this product she sells the appeal of no hair.  She sells the sizzle which is what she does so well.

If you read any of my slightly mischievous novels and there are a few, I use her products or the idea of them, as plot devices.  I too sell the sizzle but I emphasize the pain part as the device.

Imagine if you will that in six hours, you and your lover are going to retire. He or she slowly and methodically will remove all of your hair from there.  And you cannot stop them.  You must be submissive and allow it. Ouch!

That is a different kind of foreplay for sure but, isnt that part of the game?

>Denise and Trisha’s Adventure is a romance between two young ladies who went to college together.  Discovering the online pornographic industry via a webcam, they entertain their clients in different ways.  One of the ways is yes, sugaring or waxing themselves on camera, at the direction of their tippers.

The villain is dressed as an evil German doctor. She tortures the poor defenseless maiden while they try to extract information from her.  Of course, the webcam community go crazy over the act.

Plucking hairs from time to time, I can only imagine how this must feel to rip them out En masse!  Grace must be immune to pain, much like that character in the show Haven, who felt no pain.  Not her, Him!

Haven - Season 4

Since I used the idea of her products as plot devices in a few of my novels, I wanted to give her a free bit of advertising.  That is why it is there, not only on the website; and now here on the blog, but also in the book itself.

Nope, I don’t get a nickel from her.

She has other products that might make their way into my novels as well.  One recently made it into Diamond Joe, under the My Pink Wink logo; which makes things pink again.

She is aware that I am doing this and has expressed an appreciation for my imagination.  I am not standing behind her products and will accept zero liability.  That is all on you.  If you decide that your “wink” needs to be pinker, or your bits need to be hairless, she seems to have what you need. She also sells a line of body jewelry which unlike a tattoo, you can remove when you get tired of it.  (I think)

Guys, she has stuff for you too!  Think that Brazilian looks nice on your lady, you too can be bare down there. Just a thought cowboy.

Millions have viewed her videos online, which is marketing.  I would imagine that a majority of those are men but, after they get the idea, how many of them say “hey sugar, can we try this on you?”

I watched Dr. Ruth Westheimer when I first got cable.  She is a sex therapist and at 89, still going and still talking about sex.  I too am all for keeping the love life alive, so if this is your thing …

Some of the other plot devices come from different manufacturers of toys and such, like Adam and Eve.

Check out my novels, Denise and Trisha’s Adventure is 50 shades fun,  18 and up, please.  No screwed up man is going to beat them with a belt!

Divided We Stand!

Romance novels are never out of style!

Journalism in the US is in Crisis.  To get ratings, or hits on news sites, just about anything will pass for journalism. Opinions are passed off as fact, and many don’t bother to check the sources to see what it is that they are reading or listening to.

If I am engaged in a logical debate with anyone on any topic, it will hopefully provide a healthy discussion.  Debates are critical in communicating one’s opinion on just about any subject.

As a young person, I was warned to never discuss three topics.  While the issues are telling and date me, they were:

  • Women’s Lib
  • Politics
  • Religion

Never mind those issues themselves, as those are not the focal point of this blog.  The topics themselves are fraught with what?

“opinion and emotions.”

When one tries to debate an opinion it is the proverbial Kobayashi Maru  (Star Trek term)  They are a no win debate.  Much like trying to nail jello to a wall, you will get nowhere.

Television commercials of the day were rife with Virginia Slims Cigarette ads with the theme. “You’ve come a long way baby!”  While inhaling carcinogens was supposed to somehow make you feel good about yourself, the idea was, that women were liberated and they could smoke in public. Why not smoke a cigarette made especially for women.

All of these topics were so rife with emotions that it would be just about impossible to sit down and have a civil conversation without animus of some sort, rearing its ugly head.

If someone today stands behind a megaphone and has an opinion about some topic that you don’t agree with, animus comes out. What is worse, we have a 24 hour 7 day a week news cycle that perpetuates its own narrative.  Once again not fact checking, using anonymous sources they push out a story.  Social media is complicit in that these narratives are pushed out on Twitter or Facebook without checking the facts.

By the way, if you need a megaphone, you have already lost.

Celebrities who push out their emotionally driven rants fuel the fires and people listen because they see them on the screen, and feel they know them.

You don’t know them!

While intellectual debates prompt discussion, emotional debates prompt action.  We have seen it over the last few years in the US, and around the world.

Those that stir the pot must take some accountability for their narrative.  Much like yelling fire in an auditorium what you say, should have consequences.

My argument is this.  Michelle Carter was just found guilty of involuntary manslaughter for tweets to her x boyfriend suggesting that he kill himself.

“Gees TW that is a far stretch, she told him to commit suicide!”

Kathy Griffin held up a bloody facsimile of President Trump’s head.  Many unhinged people around the world saw that, making it that much tougher for the secret service and the president and his family.

Shakespear in the park in New York portrays President Trump being viciously attacked and killed by his own staff.

The shooter who shot at Republican Senators had a social media account full of anti-trump rhetoric including many pieces by CNN.  Rachel Maddow who is not a   Trump supporter was prominent on his page.

This type of emotionally charged activity can prompt the emotionally challenged to act out badly.

If I were Michelle Carters’ Attorney I would seek another trial and point out that what she did is no worse than the emotionally charged false attacks on a sitting president.

The real argument in this case is. “Are we required by law to report someone who may be a danger to him or herself?” The argument today is no; unless you are a health care professional.

I only loosely followed the case.

  • Did she know that he was serious?
  • Was she sarcastic in her text like “leave me alone you freak!”
  • I am confident that they dug into this, but it is an interesting case.
  • Yes, a man is dead, but it was by his own hand.
  • How many couples torture their mate in psychological ways unknowingly, right now?
  • If attorneys could get OJ off, certainly a good lawyer could get her off as well.
  • I think she was a teen at the time as well, an emotional teen and not very smart! Is that cause for twenty years behind bars? I don’t think so.

My point is, what we say matters.  Those with the larger megaphones IE journalist should be held to higher standards!  The trolls on Twitter spewing hate through some pseudonym should not be listened to. Many are in fact robots spewing out hate word salad.  Those that own those robots should be held accountable.

Wednesday, Tucker Carlson was admitted to the hospital for an emergency appendectomy.  The “loving Left” was promptly tweeting vile things about this lightening rod on Fox News.  The left used to be the loving left, what the hell happened?

Whether you agree with him or not, wishing bad things to happen to him, is over the top and not far afield from what Michelle Carter was just convicted of.  Stop and think, would you?

Some have accused me of being far right… Sorry to disillusion you but I am in the middle.  Never voted straight ticket, never will.  I vote for the person’s character or in some cases the lesser of two evils.  I do vote, and my opinions are well founded on research beyond the television and what someone on some news channel tells me.  If it sounds too far out there, it probably is.

On a different topic, Diamond Joe has been on Amazon a week and is selling nicely.  To those of you that have read my book sending me helpful feedback, thanks so much!  I really like that story, and I hope that it will sell well around the world.

Romance novels are never out of style!

I started another book about witches, warlocks, dragons, and pirates!  I like the way that it is going and yes, I am making these tropes unique. Uniquely TW that is.

Love to hear your thoughts.  Please keep it civil, and we can talk about it.

If not, please don’t waste your time or mine. Have a Super Weekend!

“Real Christians” follow the rules of Jesus”

Driving the rural countryside the other day I saw this billboard.  Not some tiny little sign off the side of the road but an honest to goodness billboard.

“Real Christians” follow the rules of Jesus”

“Rules, Jesus?”

What does that mean exactly?

Maybe this is just me but, I see this sign right up there with those who parade around holding signs saying that God hates Fags.

First off I have no idea what a “real Christian is.”  I don’t, do you?

To those of us who have an intellect that is at least twelfth grade and have read the Bible, there are really few rules to it to be a Christian.

The first and most controversial of them is, that you are called.

Does that mean that your cell phone will come up with this number 1-800 H-E-A-V-E-N?  ( Yea I know it is missing a digit, but it is God after all so he can so have a unique number.)  “By the way, if he ever sends you a card, save the stamp!”

How can you tell if you are called?

Do you have a desire to learn more?

Have you been putting off picking up the book or going to church with a friend?

There are many ways to be called and not one of them is cast in stone.

“You must profess that Jesus is your salvation.  He paid the price for any sin you ever did, or will do.”

Read that last part again, “or will do.”   He knew you before you were born and created you anyway.

How do we know that; the Bible tells us so.”

You are either a Christian, or you are not.  I don’t understand how someone can try and decipher levels of Christianity! It is not biblical. Therefore they do not exist.

I deal with this topic in many of my books.  Bigots who hide behind the bible do a disservice to others.  They give Christianity a bad name with their warped understanding of it.  If you are sitting there thinking it is my understanding that is warped, think again….  People are famous for taking things out of context and making the Bible say things that it does not.

The early church made it illegal for you to own a Bible.

Now keep in mind that the early church was not only your spiritual guidance, they were also the educators, and most importantly the government!  Yea, if you disagreed with them, it was bad news for you!

Juxtaposing LGBT and Christianity has been a fine tight wire to walk.  I deal with this in many of my novels, Diamond Joe being the latest.  It is not the overarching theme of any of my novels, but I deal with it as many are on the fence and honestly need to hear something other than “God Hates Fags!”

It is simply not the case!  Anyone who does something to cause someone to turn away from him is actually in more hot water than your average sinner.   Christians are called to love the sinner and not the sin.  That is it, end of story!  Your sexual preference does not make a difference, you are no different than any of the other sinners in any of those buildings we call churches.  That in itself is another misnomer as the “church” are the saints or the body of believers, not the damned building!

I just released Diamond Joe, and people are buying it all over the world, go check it out and tell me what you think.  Some of the first e-mails in are super positive!

Tell me your thoughts on this blog.  No hate please, the world is full enough of that.  I will not tolerate it here or in my life.

Constructive criticism or honest disagreement I can handle.  Spewing vile rhetoric under some pseudonym, save your breath.

Want to play in my sandbox?

While creating a marketing campaign for my newest book just released I had a simply wicked idea.

I will float it here and see if there is any interest.  What I was thinking about is soliciting ideas for my next novel from you the blogosphere of creative thinkers.

We could play with ideas here on the blog or we could actually write some sort of story.

I could start us off if you like and someone could write the next chapter, paragraph don’t know.  Someone, no doubt will come along and tell me that it has been done before.  Possibly but not by me!

If I don’t get any interests in it I will consider it a non-starter and forget it.  I read so many of your blogs out there I thought it might be fun.  Many of you are very creative.

Let me know what you think.

Why Write?

Why Write, Why not write?

Tonight at dinner with friends they had no idea what I do for a hobby.  Not wanting to brag, I told them that I fooled around with writing.  Eventually showing them the website after some prodding; the evening took on a whole new tone as it were.

I don’t talk about this hobby.  I should I suppose, but those people are not you people. Does that make sense?

If you are reading this, you and I probably have a lot in common.  We express ourselves in ways that few do.

I wrote once that writers are probably the loneliest of people around.  We can be lonely in a room full of people.  I know many of you are shaking your head, you probably agree with me and have been there.

I started writing as a child.  I won’t bore you with the details, but I had a pretty screwed up childhood. I often lost myself in my writings that I wish that I could find today.  I wrote what I was feeling.  I wrote as if I were talking to my best friend.  I even wrote some songs that if I could find them today, I would probably shake my head in utter amazement of just how pitiful I was.

The truth of the matter is we are all a little messed up.  Not one of us is perfect, if you were, you would have been nailed to a cross and no offense, I don’t want that job.

After making my way free of my parents’ home at the ripe old age of 1 day after my 18th birthday, the real lessons of life kicked in.  You must find a job, and you must work, or you don’t eat.  You must sell some service to someone, or you sleep in your car or the park.  I never slept in my car or the park, but I did have to pay extra to pay my rent two weeks at a time on occasion.  Spaghettios were a luxury.  Cheap soup, five for a dollar was typical.

I never once took a job that I was qualified for.

I bluffed my way in and did all I could to learn what I had to do to be successful. My entire life has been such a struggle with things like that.  I see them as challenges and figure I have the brains to do it, so I do.

As an avid reader, I enjoyed so many of the novels of our time and those that came before us.  One night after finishing a Clive Cussler Novel it hit me.  “I can do that!”

Everyone must start somewhere.

I began the process of writing the novel Under Roswell. The abrupt ending of one of my favorite TV shows because it was being canceled drove me to try my hand at fan fiction which inevitably pushed me to start Under Roswell.  Understand I did this for me.  I never intended to publish it.

The more friends that read it more encouraged me to try and publish it.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to get an agent’s or publisher’s attention?

Working through the process, it is an ugly process.    Rejection letters from so many agents were seriously affecting my attitude.  When I read some of the things that are out there, I was amazed that I could not lasso an agent.

I tried an experiment.  After E.L.James had written 50 shades and it went viral, I read it.  No offense, love you girl but, I said to myself, I can do that one step better!

I wrote a rather tawdry novel that I don’t even market.  It receives over 2500 hits every day all on its own.  I thought that it was smutty.  Some of my friends who read smut have assured me that it is not.  Let’s just say it is 50 shades naughty and leave it at that.

It is selling around the world so people must like it.

When asked about it, I told my friends that I like to write science fiction.

“If people are buying that other book, why not write more of those?”

Here is the truth of it.  Individuals who don’t understand writers or authors judge us on what we write.

It is silly really.  Do they think that Agatha Christy is a murderer?

I killed off people in Under Roswell; am I a murderer?

Here is the real point I wanted to make.

When I journaled as a child and young adult, it assisted me in understanding who I was.

When one writes, they see themselves in their characters.  I see parts of myself in my characters.

I always wanted to write a self-help book called Mirror Time. I wanted to understand that person in the mirror who looks back at me so often.  Behind those eyes, there is this soul, reaching to break free of the facade that society puts on us.

That soul breaks free in my novels.

I have so many characters who I love deeply!  Often I  wonder if I am Cybil? Relax, no voices telling me to kill someone or anything like that.  Just the lone voice in my head trying to live on some planet or some other realm where pain can be mitigated with a keyboard and mouse.  A place where evil people can be dashed against the rocks, and disappear under the waters of life to become part of the cycle of life.

Why write? Why not write!

Nobody ever has to read what you write, ever!

I would like to share a thought with one of my younger followers out there.  Yes, I am talking to you.  The young person who pours out your soul on a blog.  I read some of your writing, you are a beautiful person.  I love your heart and who you are. I look forward to reading your first book.

For now, write those things in your diary and keep the key close.  Take care of what you write and post dear one.  There are some folks out there who are not nice writers like us.

I have never known anyone to judge another writer for the stuff that they write, but if they do, I certainly don’t need them as friends.  I keep toxic people out of my life, and I would encourage that of everyone!

I am rather pragmatic when it comes to subjects to write about.  What is selling?  What are people reading?  Give me a topic, and I will give you a story.  While I love science fiction, I also love fantasy and magic and witches and warlocks and maybe even a vampire.

I truly think vampires have been done to death, but more and more novels about them, still pop up.

“Vampires, done to death,” get it?

I don’t endorse anything that I happen to have in one of my stories.  It is fiction, and it worked in the plot at the time.

Let me thank my newest followers for taking the time to check in and read my writing.  I look forward to swapping thoughts, tropes and what have you here in this blog.

I honestly believe that writers or authors should support one another and I certainly will.

Connect with me here or on Twitter @authortwscott  or www.authortwscott.com, I would love to hear from you.  If you are one of my readers of my novels.  Thank you so much!  Your patronage is the reason that I do what I do.  With the thousands of hits daily on some of my author pages, I feel it is only a matter of time when the Brand TWScott will mean something more than it does.

If it never happens, however; I want to make this point.  I am a much better person for writing my novels.  I now know me better than I ever have before.  My Novels have changed me as well.  I reach out to people who I would have not have reached out to before.  Write…Try it for yourself… Everyone has a story, what is yours?

Tipping Point

How do you get something for nothing?

Have we gone too far trying to get clean energy from everything?  How do you get something for nothing?

Preparing the blog page for Tipping Point I went back to read the novel once again.

When I talk about the book I have to refresh my memories of the characters.   Would you believe that I found a typo or two….?  It is a shame that there is not a software package to find everything.  I enjoy what I write so reading it again is not a chore.  Analyzing it once again has me rewriting certain sentences, that I find clumsy.

The story is germane in that it deals with plausible scenarios which could affect the world as we know it.

With the basic question of “How do you get something for nothing?” TW wrote a story that begs that very question.

Using the assumption that not everything comes from the SUN we must then ask, where does it come from.  The novel Tipping Point is a romance with a science fiction twist.

The feedback thus far has been that this would be a good movie for the SCIFI channel.  I am not sure if that is a compliment or not?

The characters tell the story. It is a fast read.

Let me know what you think of it!

Below is the backstory to Diamond Joe

Dealing with modern day issues in a conversational way you will no doubt love these characters as much as I do.

Breaking News!

I published Diamond Joe on Amazon tonight 6/5/2017  It will take Amazon a little while to proof it but there you go!  Get it and enjoy it!  This is one of my best yet!

A cold wind from the north was one more reminder that things are not going well for the investors on Wall Street.  Diamond Joe, taking his craft seriously enough survives the crash of the 1920’s, but many of his investors did not.  Some of them indeed ended their lives by jumping from a window or drinking in their car, parked on a railroad crossing.

Diamond Joe, a portly man, was still jovial enough and managed to calm most of his Investors with his quick wit and knowledge of the markets.

Joe’s wife Vera was not doing well with the winters in New York. When her health became a major concern, Joe changed their lives.

The carnage from the collapse reached far and wide leaving many bargains for those who managed to hold onto cash.  Diamond Joe was nobody’s fool and had indeed amassed a small fortune while working for his clients.

Purchasing a plantation that still had tobacco in the fields in South Carolina, he moved his wife to warmer climates.  Over a thousand acres and a large house with some of the land butting up to the Atlantic Ocean.  Diamond Joe was ready for a new adventure.

His kind demeanor and strange luck at cards often found him at events where his pockets were full of others cash on his way home.

Gambling was illegal in most of the states at this time.  Bingo under the guise of charity was still a big thing which is the only way one would find him inside a church.

Horse racing was a legitimate sport up till the late 30’s.  Diamond Joe quickly became an expert at such things, buying Arabians and hiring the best to train and ride them. His luck knew no bounds.

Years pass.  The plantation stays in the family.  Diamond Joe dies in his sleep leaving behind his wife and daughter, Donna.  “Dr. D. Joyce” inherits the estate after the death of Vera, her mother.  Leaving it unattended for a few years, Donna loses her husband to cancer.  With the memories of him too intense in their home in the city, she sells it moving herself out of the city, and back to the plantation that she loved as a child.

35 miles from the nearest town, and miles to her nearest neighbor, Donna was pleased with her choice and enjoyed her solitude.

Steve, her husband’s racehorse named after Diamond Joe went untrained. Donna realized this as the wasting of an investment and decides that something must be done with the horse.

This novel was such an incredible story to tell.  With a love of horses and people, the story wrote itself!  As Donna finds love in a place she dared not even think to look; the tale will warm your heart.

I wanted an agent to pick this story up and run with it.  Query letters just suck, and anyone that has ever written one knows it. If you are an agent, and interested, contact me.

Dealing with modern day issues in a conversational way you will no doubt love these characters as much as I do.

Each story that I write, the characters seem warmer and more lifelike.  I very much like and take a narrative approach to writing as I think that the characters should tell the story! I want you to hear their voice.  When you read my books, you will feel that you are in each of their heads, know what they are thinking, and no doubt you will feel their passion.

I try hard to faithfully tell each of their stories as I hear or see them.  There are times I swear that I am merely taking dictation as the story unfolds.  Often I have no clue where the story will go, or how it will end.

Possibly I spend too much time alone with my thoughts, but the results are often so beautiful that I don’t really care.

The feedback from those of you who have read my work is marvelous, and it keeps me going.

If I cannot find an agent to pick this story up, I will publish it on Amazon.  Over 70% of my sales come from Amazon, and frankly, they are one of the simplest places to e-publish.

I have many things on Smashwords, but truthfully, they are one of the most difficult places to e-publish.  Your mileage may vary.

I am not only the creator of the verbal art.  You know, those pictures that are created within your head but also, the creator of the cover art.

Look at the cover and tell me if you like it.  What does it say to you?  Should I do something different with it?

When this story is released, and you get to read it for yourself, your emotions will be tweaked.  You will laugh, hunger for their success and cry for them as they pull things together to finish as only TW does, on a high note!   Sad things can happen in the story but I won’t have sad endings!

This novel

Hello, Denmark or Hej!

I need to get back to Episode 9 of #HoleInTime !

As you know, I just started this site.  I find it interesting to see where the latest check-ins come from.  Denmark has either excellent taste, or they are bored!

Thanks for checking in with me today!

I hope you find something interesting on my site!

When I first started offering my novels on Smashwords and then Amazon, I was amazed at how many folks in Europe are reading my manuscripts!

Spain has been busy on this blog as well as Australia, Canada and of course the US.

So hello Spain or Hola

Stop by and give us a chat.  Won’t bite, hard anyway…

If you read my writings, feel free to give me some feedback!

I always love to hear from those who read my novels.  Especially if you find a typo.  Ghastly things typos as our illustrious president just discovered Covfefe yes that one.

We love Trump.  The only way that this could be better is if Biden had won and ran unscripted.  Trump tweets what is on his mind and Uncle Joe just lets anything out of his mouth.  Actually, I find that honest and refreshing.

Won’t do political stuff here, wouldn’t be prudent!

Other than to say I think I will put Covfefe in one of my books.  It could be anything, and only those of us who have made typos before would appreciate it.  Oh wait, that is everyone on the planet that has ever crafted a sentence on anything using the written word.

This country is pretty much divided straight up the middle.  No matter what you say, half the country is going to be pissed at me if I say something one way or another.  LOL

I was thinking about the difference between politicians and tics.  While a politician is really about governance, I believe that we must redefine the way we think about it.  Let’s spell it differently, shall we!

Poly-tics…

Now we have a closer definition of the truth of the matter. Poly as in many and tics as in blood sucking creatures.  See, an equal opportunity offender.

I need to get back to Episode 9 of #HoleInTime !

The people have spoken, and I am here talking about bloodsuckers!

That is not true; I was saying hello to my friends in Denmark, Spain, Austrailia and everywhere else!

Hello!

Much Love  -TW
